Should Prostitutes get equal Police protection?

Recommended Posts

I agree any needy people should be treated by the NHS, but what about the dubious 'Escort Agency' women and prostitutes who earn enough to pay for private treatment?

What about them? There are lots of people who possibly could pay for private healthcare, but that's no reason to compel them to is it?

Why on earth would you want to persecute prostitutes? They have a hard enough time anyway.

Oh a question can't be asked now

and why am I persecuting prostitutes? don't be absurd

The very fact that you ask the question suggests that you think they should be treated differently; explain yourself.

I can't think that the 'working girls' like what they are doing. many have drug habits to fund, and I think to have to sell your body for that is very sad. Before all SF members jump down my throat, just think, we none us know what has driven the girls to do what they do.........There but for the grace of God.......

And there is BMC insurance too...

I hate to say it but so? how does that affect the argument above?

Ultimately soceity permits us to do these things and everyone gets free health cover regardless of how much they've contributed. That's how the NHS has worked for ages. Everyone gets policing, regardless of how much they've contributed, ditto fire coverage, etc etc. The OP's original proposition just doesnt make any sense.

I thought you were saying that a disabled rugby player would be a drain on the coffers of the country..the medical costs etc would be picked up by the RFU insurance...

As a society everyone should recieve the same level of protection and welfare as each other - the lifestyle choice/job is irrelevant at this point.

However it does become pertinent when people who put themselves in harms way expect more/better protection and improved/more rapid services than the rest of society. Sometimes they themselves don't expect this but for some strange reason other people think they should get it.

If anybody were to jump down your throat for posting such a reasonable and compassionate point then their own inhumanity would be exposed.

The new National ugly mug database of rapists is having a wider impact after less than one year and helping public safety.

Vulnerable people need more help but there is not enough going on at an early stage. 15-19 year olds are isolated for a million reasons and should be in a school environment if they are not passed as adequately independent.
