Maybe putting someone down makes them feel a bit better about their own pathetic inadequacies? ;)

Ok, lets look at this way.

You're at home and your partner/child is watching TV. They're laid on the sofa and want to change the channel. They shout you in from another room because they can't reach the remote is yet haven't gotten up to to get it for themselves

Now it's taken them more effort to shout you in and ask you to pass them the remote than it would have for them to get up and get it for themselves.

Would you not call that lazy?

no !! we are not miserable and meanies :P

I'd call that lazy, yes... but it has absolutely nothing to do with the thread.

The point you and many others are missing is the fact that the poster may be attempting to take part in a friendly, family forum rather than just wanting an answer to their question.

If you are intent on trying to come up with an analogy perhaps you should try a bit harder to find something a bit more suitable...

My analogy is perfectly adequate for the situation.

But nice LMGTFY link. Heaps of irony in you posting that.

This thread, in true Sheffield Forum style has descended into a bore.

:hihi::hihi::hihi:

I agree with you...

To be fair, finding phone numbers for certain eateries seems to be getting more difficult.

.....

I struggled to find Kebab World the other evening, resorting to digging out an old menu.

... not half as exciting as reading old takeaway menus! :D

How has it taken more effort? Bloody hell...you've just got to go out at night to realise shouting and crying is what MOST people do best because it takes less effort than physically moving
