When companies take on employees normally, they tend to choose people with experience. OK, let's pretend that's the case. So when you give everybody the same low-grade work experience, what are the employers going to use as selection criteria? Edf energy was state owned until 2004 and needed some serious nudging to get them to open up 20% of their market in 1999. I'm sure there are more, but it's a Sunday evening and I can't be arsed.
