Maveli - new South Indian restaurant

On the subject of Dhanisthas, I have heard a report that they have toned down the dishes there for a more mass-market appeal, Can anyone confirm this?

 

I went a couple of weeks ago to Aruvusai (previously Dhanistas) and the food was very good. My missus always goes for standard strength curry and she said the food was back to how it used to be when the place first opened. The service is much better than it used to be in that you get a drink much quicker and the food comes faster too.

 

I do like the food at Maveli too.
