Margaret Thatcher Thread - Read the first post before posting

I am a through and through socialist and I definitely diss liked Thatcher and all she stood for,but I must admit to doing quite good at the time financially as a self employed businessman, there was a lot of redundancy money about that a lot of was spent with me at the time, but anybody with any sense could see it wasn't going to last, you used to see them driving about in big Ford Granadas and a there were lots of brand new caravans in the front yards of people on the council estates,I will say one thing about Thatcher though she would not have put up with all this immigration malarky we are having to suffer now.

by the definition of the word he was.

Terrorism is a subjective term. One man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter and the labels are usually dependent upon a value judgement of the regime being opposed.

The definition of the word can be applied (wrongly in my opinion) to many who are considered heroes.

I read with great sadness and utter disappointment that anachists are planning to protest and disrupt her funeral. I hope this is not the case.

I did not like Thatcher, but the idea of causing chaos at her funeral doesn't sit well with me. I wish people would show some respect.

Well in her own words Maggie thought Mandela was "a grubby little terrorist" she also fought against sanctions on apartheid South Africa.

She never started a war but new how to end one by winning.

She cut out the dead wood of our industrial past.

She followed her convictions with no regard for her reputation.

She was the best leader this country ever had.

She is hated by those who can't understand what its is to lead from the front.

She had more balls than all men in her midst.

Like a parents tough love she made people depend on themselves not others.

She is what this country needs again, not the weak limp fools who govern us now.

Very True & Well Said!!

I find this totally sad, to be honest. Have people got nothing better in their lives than hatred? Her family do not and should not be subjected to this.
