2's Company
I've got to have a tooth taken out. The dentist says there is a wisdom tooth above to fill the gap. I've heard the needle really hurts when they numb your gum. Just wondering how other people have felt when having a tooth removed? I'm frightened to death about it. I've heard some dentists use a numbing gel before putting a needle in? Anyone shed any light for me please ?

Guest
The needle doesn't hurt, might be slightly uncomfortable but that's about it. You shouldn't feel the tooth at all, just around it maybe. It might ache for a bit after the anesthetic wears off but that's normal.
Pixie824
I was terrified at having the needle stuck in my mouth, not a fan of dentists anyway. But it was fine, hardly felt it. You'll be just fine
