Riannon
I never knew that I have to admit. I don't think it's a route we can go down though -without going into details introducing formula was a last resort and under the guidance of my midwife. I find what you said slightly reassuring though I thought once you'd stopped that was it. My partner and I both breast feed our child.

JFKvsNixon
Really? Blimey that's amazing. I really thought you had to give birth to breastfeed. Didn't the affluent used to have wet nurses during the Victorian era?
Riannon
Really? Blimey that's amazing. I really thought you had to give birth to breastfeed. Our daughter just naturally latches on and sucks. After 3 or 4 days I started lactating. Now we both feed.
Isabelle
Really? Blimey that's amazing. I really thought you had to give birth to breastfeed. On looking into it, even men can breastfeed, apparently, you learn something new every day!
Super Hans
A tin of SMA lasts about a week, so why do you need 3 tins? It is a bit selfish stockpiling them when there are other parents who need it too...
Anna B
This will answer some if not all of your questions http://money.cnn.com/2013/04/09/news/world/china-baby-milk-rationing/index.html I don't believe a word of it. Much more likely supplies are being bought up by commodities brokers to create a shortage so prices will rise (just like they did with cocao.) I wasn't even aware of the issue when I tried to buy 3, I still don't know if there is one - hence the title of the thread. I imagine explaining why I was buying 3 that particular day is not very interesting to other forumers seen as it had nothing to do with the point of the thread.
