WillPS
I have a carpet bar which separates off an area of laminate. One section of this has snapped and needs replacement: http://i46.tinypic.com/wva4hv.jpg Does anybody know the best way to go about fixing it? It seems like too small a job to need a fitter for, but I can't find a piece the right size - as I understand it it's 'single carpet bar' and the piece that needs replacing is about 50cm long. handypandy
What you may be referring to, is called a 'Z' plate. The gripper side fits under the carpet and the cap overlaps both the carpet and the laminate. Most of the DIY stores like Wickes and B&Q stock it. WillPS
Thanks for your reply! I think - having researched - the product is a 'single' plate, like the one in this listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STIKATAK-CARPET-FLOORING-DOOR-BARS-THRESHOLDS-/270927867803?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Rugs_Runners_Mats&var=&hash=item3f148f2f9b My issue is that I have no idea how to go about cutting and or fitting it.
