Laws RTA 1988 sect 36, TSRGD reg 10(1) I have a relative that was knocked over at pedestrian lights by a cyclist, the cyclist stopped and the police were involved, but no prosecution. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2087312/How-cyclist-got-away-jumping-red-light-tongue-tied-policeman-failed-arrest-grab-head-camera-filming-row.html ---------- Post added 18-04-2013 at 06:27 ---------- PC James Aveling, a City bike patrol officer for nine years, argues that it's a bigger problem than the accident statistics suggest. For one thing, he says, there is no legal obligation to report collisions between bikes and pedestrians. Just daft! http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/apr/16/police-cyclists-red-lights

The next cyclist that rides through a red light at a pedestrian crossing that I am using, I'll boot off his bike!
Chris11
As a commuter and regular rider I often see cyclists skip red lights. I often see them riding on the pavement, and switching between the two to avoid red lights and traffic. Did it annoy me? Yes it did. But I thought to myself, why do I let this annoy me? I should just get on with my life and let them theirs. Moaning about it won't do anything, telling them to their face does nothing, and I'm pretty damn sure starting weekly threads on the subject won't do anything either. dawny1970
all road users should obey the highway code, cyclists blame motorists, however running red lights just opens them up to these sort of comments!!!
