Have women in the UK let themselves go?

Bad news for women in the dailymail. Women now require more fabric for clothes, which is no doubt inflationary.

Have women in the UK let themselves go?

Waist size grown from 27 inches 60 years ago to 34 inches now

38 per cent of women now classed as overweight

Difference between the bust and hips to the waistline was 10in in 1950s

In 2013 figures are much flatter at only 4in difference from bust to waistline

British women weigh 7.5lbs more than in 1951 and are 1.5in taller

It's also bad news for men. There isn't the curves on a woman that there used to be!

Hip measurements have only grown by one inch - from 39in to 40in - and busts by the same amount, rising from from 37in to 38.5in: noticeably smaller than the 7.5in increase seen on waistlines.

What could be the cause of this?

Office jobs? Cheap food? Lack of exercise? Financially prohibitive leisure activities?

If you ask me, it's clearly a housing crisis. People live in smaller homes nowadays. Women no longer need to devote as much time to cleaning. They haven't the space to clean in the first place, we need bigger houses. Maybe they could do with allotments? Allotments are a great form of exercise, and could help women get fit for summer.

What do you think?

hahaahhaha

somehow you have taken a story about increasing obesity and turned it onto an allotment thread again.

how about this.

if someone is fat. eat less excersise more.

if they dont ant to exercise then just eat LESS

if they dont want to do that then whats it to do with us.

look on the bright side

the obese wont live as long. they are all helping solve the pension crisis.
