Gazza58
The legend who is David eric hirst, has officially rejoined wednesday working with the academy youngsters based at middlewood road.Having hirsty involved with the young uns can only be a good thing, and TBH should have happened years ago.Maybe we are finally making some progress with the academy. SiSiSi
How long before he progresses to first-team manager I wonder? It's not unknown for such a thing to happen. I'm thinking years rather than weeks or even days of course.

Robbie Loving
Last I saw of Hirst, he was in no shape to be doing coaching His input could, even if not coaching, could be invaluable though.

top4718
Hirsty is a great character and will hopefully bring an experienced head to offer advice to the academy lads. I watched the compilation of his goals that some one posted on Youtube recently, you actually forget what a great striker he was, power, pace and the variety of goals is incredible, Sheffields best ever player???
