Drones being operated in UK attacking Afghanistan

Recommended Posts

It's a cowards weapon, pure & simple. When the western media wish's to pronounce on 'terrorists' who plant bombs they are very quick to call them cowards.

Contrast the personal risk factor of a man/woman walking into a situation with an IED, an improvised explosive device designed & constructed by someone he doesn't know, & who's skill he has no knowledge of. The bomb may blow up as he is placing it, he may be spotted & killed by armed forces. He may be beaten to death by enraged bystanders when they see what has happened. He may be apprehended after the event & spend the rest of his life in prison.

According to the popular consensus propagated by the western media he/she is a cowardly murderer.

Contrast that with the man/woman sat behind a computer screen, hundreds or even thousands of miles away from the deaths caused, without any fear of harm or retribution, apparently, according to the media these people are 'hero's' 'carrying out their duty', so that's alright then.

In my view, none of these deaths are acceptable. Both sides believe they are right & both sides are 'full of it.'

Our use of this weapon is a gift to the fanatics who hate the west. They deal in hatred & use the passion & naivety of their young people as a weapon against us.

Try & put yourself in the other mans position. It's your country & your children who are being randomly killed. Tell me you wouldn't feel like some revenge.

Firstly, drones are an intelligent person's weapon of choice; only a fool would put themselves in danger unnecessarily.

Secondly, we are forced to counter the murderous savages who plant IEDs with superior weapons. It's not that we want to. We do so because we have to. Otherwise they would kill us! Geddit?

Thirdly, the people who plant IEDs believe in superstitious nonsense and are happy to ram their savage belief system down the throats of anyone they haven't managed to kill yet.

Fourthly, IED planting terrorists are no loss to the world or to their families, so big deal!

This idea of yours that the playing field has to be in equal halves is plain daft! It isn't, and it never will be, because these guys live in the past. They cannot adapt to the enlightenment that has liberated us from the tyranny of religion, and are doomed by their memes, and perhaps, to some extent their genes as well.

Why might their genes be inferior to ours? Because they kill anyone who thinks for themselves. This is a form of selective breeding that is likely to have had the effect of reducing the percentage of the population with the capacity and inclination for independent and rational thought. Thus, they cannot adapt, and so are doomed to fail, in the long term, unless we save some grief by speeding the process up a bit.

Maybe you should actually read his link, was all those children bad people?
Were all those children bad people? No, they were children! However, you sometimes need to use a strong antibiotic to get rid of a bad infection, and that means that some of the neutral and even some of the good bacteria get killed along with the bad ones. Life's like that - tough! If they loved their children, they wouldn't behave the way they do and put their children in harms way. Besides, those innocent children would likely have grown up to be like their parents through a process of indoctrination. Now they can't. Not nice, but then it's not nice when terrorists kill other peoples' children, is it?

The whole idea of considering drone pilots as cowards is ridiculous.Consider the thousands of airmen who took off from Lincolnshire in their Lancasters, Halifaxes, B17s and liberators, and never came home again.Spend a few moments in Endcliffe Park at the memorial to ten Americans who died there because their fortress crashed when the pilots wouldn't land on the field because it would have killed a bunch of young kids playing football. I bet those crews would have preferred to send drones into battle.

So those innocent children - it's actually their parents fault, because if they loved them 'they wouldn't behave the way they do'?

Which way's that then? 'Put their children in harms way'? By doing what exactly - having had the temerity to have them in the first place.

You truly nauseate me, with your equation of little children being blown to pieces as being as insignificant as bacteria.

So because it's really bad when terrorists kill children, you're saying it's Ok to kill children.

You live in a moral black hole.

Have you any idea how deranged you sound?

Please explain what name you would give to a man who chooses to kill other human beings whilst ensuring that there is no possible danger to himself?

Now, my personal view of someone who not only doesn't have the courage to face the enemy, but is actually in a different time zone to the person who is being killed is fairly logical. They are a coward. They may be an intelligent coward, the two are not mutually exclusive, but a coward is what they most definitely are.

There are very few people much lower in my estimation than that, but do you know what Aleksandr? Someone who accepts the death of innocent children as 'just one of those things' manages to get under that bar.

Buck. for crying out loud. Please do not even mention Second World War airmen in the same breath as someone who would be responsible for the deaths of women & children thousands of miles away.

Those men did kill innocent people, & that must have been on their consciences till the day they died. But their saving grace, the one thing they could draw comfort from, was that they were risking their own lives in the process.

Walk up behind someone that you don't even know, & hit them over the head with a baseball bat with no warning. What are you? You are a gutless coward.

Thought better of you than that Buck. Been in Endcliffe Park many times, used to do football training there. Yes those were brave men. Do not mention them in the same breath as some timid little geek in a shopping mall in Nevada with a cup of coffee in front of him whilst he rains death & destruction upon a mother & child thousands of miles away & then decides as to whether he is going to Macdonalds or KFC for lunch.

If you cannot see the difference here then you have lost touch with both reality & decency.
