callippo
supposedly for eskimos, laughter is like a euphemism for sex. As in let's have a laugh meaning, let's have sex. Probably a linguistic old wives' tale though.
Jim Stark
It's not a new study at all, it's been known for years ---------- Post added 01-05-2013 at 06:06 ---------- Either that or they have a big nob ... or both It IS a new study. ---------- Post added 01-05-2013 at 09:10 ---------- Is it just a matter of funny men dont care if they get turned down, because life is one big joke? Do women prefer smarter men, or just men similar to themselves? Dunno, why don't you ask this guy? Laugh a minute. Like flamingjimmy said, this is not really anything new. L00b
A new study shows that women think that funny men are smarter and more likely to be honest than more dour counterparts. Your thoughts? 'Smarter' is actually quite subjective, when you think about it. Adopting a conventional wisdom point of view, I work with very 'smart' people (PhD level) day-in, day-out and have done for years. Both as colleagues and clients. I cannot objectively say that their sense of humour is any more developed or "better" than 'academically-inferior' people/friends I know, in fact often less so (as in, most often they are appear more introverted/less gregarious, and humour does not come through much at all). I fall into that category myself, objectively speaking. Many are wealthy/successful, though...with trappings/notches to match
