Unemployed and the nasty Universal Credit. what will happen?

Recommended Posts

Which basically means that it's not finished.

It's far from finished if they've procured a billion quid system and then had to go live with a mini pilot that uses spreadsheets for the calculations.

Typical government IT project.

From what I've read this one takes things to rarely seen levels of ineptitude. It's up there with the NHS IT debacle. Why does every government have to have a billion quid IT screw-up?

There are, what you really mean is there needs to be nice cushy jobs for those who squandered their education as they will not do certain jobs.

so theres enough jobs for EVERYBODY in the country (and please dont start on the anti immigration spiel)

if everybody had jobs what would the people who make a living helping people on the dole, on schemes and courses, job agencies, work in the benefits sector etc do?

surely theyd be out of a job and on the dole? :suspect::help:

Indeed. Welfare is an industry in its own right. So many profit making opportunities. Even some crisis loan systems at local level have been semi-privatised, with some Labour councils enthusiastically bringing private contractors on board.

I wonder, how many people does the welfare industry employ?

My son is 18 and badly wants to work but no one will employ him as he has no experience. How can he get experience if no one gives him a chance. He is hard working and willing to work any hours but to no avail.

The Nasty Party tell us there are plenty of jobs around, and there are, but that is not the point. The point is are there far more people looking for work than there are jobs to be had. That is certainly the case as anyone who is unemployed will tell you. Tories ignore this as it doesn't fit in with what they want to believe.
