What would you do

Recommended Posts

Go round and tell him/his wife politely but firmly that you're no longer able to accommodate it (you don't need to give a reason), the car needs to be moved, that you fell he has exploited your goodwill and that if he is unable to move it (by x date), you will be obliged to have it moved. Say you're sorry it has come to this but your drive is not a free car park and you feel you have been 'taken advantage of'.

There is no need to have a row/get aggressive.

Then, if he doesn't move it, you do it. If it means relations with them are frosty for a while, so be it.

smash a window, release handbrake, give it a shove into the road.

whoops! oh my goodness look what happened, what a terrible fate to befall your precious car dearest relative of mine who clearly doesn't value the family ties...

Tell him that you have a delivery coming in a couple of days and that they need access to the drive. Ask him, very politely, to shift it for a couple of hours.

Then put something bloody heavy on your drive so that he can't get back on.
