truman
I'm not sure what the solution is! Some sort of cross party government that will make decisions for the good of the country rather than for vote catching and political capital?
Gleadly
Some sort of cross party government that will make decisions for the good of the country rather than for vote catching and political capital? My thoughts exactly. Maybe they could hold their elections in 1/3 rds like some local authority? Let everyone stay in for 4 years - dread the thought. alchresearch
Have you noticed how people have begun to realise that the government is wrong in everything it has done/is doing, but they are trying to water-down the effect of the government, probably to try and ease public opinion? Nope. A couple of the usual names on here have spouted "U TURN, U TURN" at more than one opportunity. So if the government has changed policy due to public opinion, that shows they've done something right. You need to open your eyes beyond the microcosm of this forum and Sheffield. If you did you'd find the Tories and LibDems aren't as hated as you wish.

alchresearch
Really? And what personal evidence do you have to show this, not biased media reporting?
PRESLEY
Really? And what personal evidence do you have to show this, not biased media reporting? 3/4 of the peed off people in this country, just like the last time they were in, but you probably wouldn't remember them dark days. MadManMoon
When you go to vote today remember Tories are only party that want to slaughter Badgers. Apart from You Kipp they are the only party who want a return to torturing foxes for fun. And if this weren't bad enough they have the worst record of any government ever for animal abuse. http://www.animalaid.org.uk/h/n/NEWS/news_other/ALL/2559/ These are the lovely people that Cameron used to go Fox Hunting with. Make no mistake Cameron, like his fox hunting friends the Hethrop Hunt, is a cruel and barbaric 'man' http://www.powa.org.uk/id87.html

Dear God, is this what a political debate is coming down to? "Won't someone think of the badgers?"
gamezone07
Its bizzare how many Tories post political stuff on SF, when of course they are hardly represented/visible in the city. ---------- Post added 02-05-2013 at 11:50 ---------- Oh, and if UKIP deliver a 'seismic victory' today, they can look forward to the intensive scrutiny other parties receive, or should do..
