In memory of James Bulger..

Recommended Posts

James Bulger's mother will plead with a parole board later this month not to release one of her son's killers.

Denise Fergus fears if John Venables is released he could kill again. He was sent back to prison for breaking the conditions of his release.

Denise is also pleading for support for a petition to try to stop criminals profiting from their crimes.

She's worried James's killers could end up with compensation if it's proved that journalists hacked their phones.

The petition must close TODAY at 1:56pm - thousands of signatures are still needed!

SIGN AND SPREAD THE PETITION :)

sorry, id have signed one for the first part but i cant sign it as its the second part, im not sure i can agree with something so sweeping and generalising as "all" prisoners, personally if journalists DID hack their phones then surely that is wrong, and no matter what the criminal did, they should be allowed compensation?

its NOT profiting from their crimes, its profiting cos journalists did a crime to get info for their stories on said criminal / crime

Arguably they wouldn't have attracted the attention of the journalists if they hadn't committed a crime mel

and?

that still doesnt mean journalists can go hacking their phones for information, as i said they are NOT profiting from the crime, they are profiting cos the media are a law unto themselves

Murdering scum are different.

They should have little or no rights at all.

If they get compo then that would be yet another kick in the teeth of James family.

You do realise that journalists who get stories by hacking phones are benefitting financially from crimes they commit?
