Immigrants in the uk

Recommended Posts

Which i never said.

You stated that

Until the recent election results...

it would be fair comment that

... the authorities turn a blind eye to it to appease racial sensitivities.

(it being the employment of illegal immigrants in the midlands)

How is that different to saying that the Border Agency operation would not have happened if it wasn't for the recent election results as BT pointed out? Surely if it is fair to say they turned a blind eye to it until the recent election results then without those election results they would still be tutning a blind eye and would not have successfully prosecuted the employers involved.

Unless, of course, you are suggesting that the election results effected no change in policy and simply act as a coincidental time marker for some other catalytic event that brought about a change in the authorities' attutide to tackling the employment of illegal immigrants.

If you read the post correctly,

"Until the recent election results that would be a fair comment,"

They are not turning a blind eye now are they after the recent election results, and a kick up the arse by UKIP is all it needed.

Still

..but they weren't turning a blind eye to it, the investigations took place between 2010-2012..long before the recent election results-no 'kick up the arse by UKIP' was necessary.

So you are stating that they would still be turning a blind eye without the election results which is exactly what BF claimed you were.

Then go back and read in context.

Of course the investigations took place before the recent elections, never said they didn't

before which (THE RECENT ELECTIONS ) the government were turning a blind eye, all of a sudden along came UKIP and hey presto the blind eye seems to have been cured, as the Queens speech today confirms,

Now you'll have a new whipping boy in the Conservatives along with the BNP and UkIP, seems like you're running out of parties who think along your lines.

UKBA are part of the government, therefore, the government were doing the investigating. How does investigating and subsequently prosecuting equate to turning a blind eye?

You have genuinely lost me here.

Me too, this is what happens when you catch them out-no admissions, no apologises...black will soon become white, pardon the pun.

You've caught no one out but yourselves, go back and read in context, if you think the government weren't turning a blind eye, why were there so many illegals running around they supposedly didn't know about,

here you go,

"I'm surprised you haven't previously tried to claim that the authorities turn a blind eye to it to appease racial sensitivities."

Until the recent election results that would be a fair comment,

and until the freedom of information request it would still have been blind.

---------------

The rest you made up.
