Streetfarce
Or worse they'll throw parts at the problem in the vain hope it fixes it. My assistant had a faulty power steering on his car and it kept going back to the dealers while they tried a new part. After a new pump and ECU it turned out to be a faulty rev counter. A faulty Rev counter ???? Now I've heard some stories, but that doesn't ad up

alchresearch
A faulty Rev counter ???? Now I've heard some stories, but that doesn't ad up It was a Peugeot 107, with one of those "clip on" rev counters. As soon as it was unclipped the car was fine. Pugs can be very funny with electrics. Even a dip in battery voltage below 12.2v can cause electrical gremlins to surface. I've lost count at the number of Pug owners I've told to change their 3+ year old battery, even though they protest that it still turns over the car without issue. But changing fixes it!
