poppet2
Clarkes shoe shops used to have an automatic measuring machine that measured your width size as well. It is also one of the rare shoe shops that deal with so many different size widths. You pay slightly more, but for comfort their shoes are well worth it. The summer sales will be on at the end of next month.
Mikes10
I usually get Clarks 'Active Air' but they are a bit expensive my last pair cost £90.
WeX
Air Flex from Marks & Spencers ... I wear them for work as they are light and comfortable. I'm on my second pair. http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/search?field-keywords=airflex&x=-1014&y=-36&viewID=results&intid=gnav_search&node=42966030
Man like me
I had a pair of Levis trainers that were made from really soft leather which were quite comfy.
alchresearch
Hush Puppies or Clarks. Although I'm wearing Pods at the moment and they're very comfy. I spent a lot of time in smart shoes and am a size 13, so comfort counts.
Obelix
I don't know if they are still in business, but Guat shoes up in Walkley on School Road will make custom fitted shoes just for you. A little more expensive than a generic shoe but they last a hell of a lot longer. Once you put on a pair of shoes that you never have to break in, you won't go back.
