BIGLIL
My Nan always used the word SHUNKLY to discribe something that glittered like sequines. Its a word that all of use in our family. She also used to say that if someone was dawdling or walking slowly they were TRERKLING along. A nice discriptive word but dont know if its a proper word. MY Mom always used these terms and I sometimes use them myself but it's very rare I hear anyone else use them .

Wotsup widee den, as tha lost thi marbles? my apologise, i though the thread wanted local sayings not english one's. Things like cecks and clewers and going across the yard. Not national one's with a local accent. But you know best.
