When in the army

Cockney lad to me "I've seen your bird in town"

My response " Weer wo shi gooin an oo woshy wee ?"

His reply "What's that.b....y Chinese"

 

oo... arrgerritt, Chinese laundry eh?? :D

 

This had my wife and me in stitches and talking old slang all morning.

 

I add my thanks also to all the other contributors for a lot of laughs. It all sounds so familiar but not heard it for ''donkeys years''.

Had an uncle who used to drop in Sunday afternoons and always announce, "A wur just on me way to me muvvers, so a fot ad drop in an see ar Florrie".

 

Even though he showed up like clockwork for years!
