mikem8634
Quite. Bullying is horrific and can result in tragic consequences. And now it extends to cyber bullying. Shy Keenan's son recently killed himself as a result of bullying. Sadly there are many similar cases.

Suffragette1
Never heard of Shy Keenan, a qick google says that she herself tried to commit suicide when she was younger. Not surprising given that she was sexually abused and then forced into prostitution as a child.
denomis
We all remember what its like at school and what kids do . Kids have always, and always will call each other names . Thats all it is , nothing more. Its not bullying , its just kids doing what kids do ............. Bullying is just that, bullying. Bullying is not, things like assault. That is one reason why, as kids get older, the schools cannot cope with something that can turn into a matter for the police. As teachers have very few powers to punish violent children. If you both think bullying is just name calling then you are both idiots, and yes sometimes bullying does amount to physical assault.

When it turns into assault, that is just what it is, assault. If you look in the dictionary, you will see that bullying is To treat in an overbearing or intimidating manner In a High school environment, bullying may well be addressed by the school, but perhaps if actual assault is taking place then perhaps that is something that the school cannot deal with?
