There's nothing wrong with being privately educated but there is something wrong with being privileged and trying to portray yourself as some kind of revolutionary voice of the oppressed, which Ms Penny tries to do. She just helps to sell newspapers and make the readers of said newspaper to feel a bit better about themselves. The Guardian does no more to fight inequality or poverty than Live Aid did to fight hunger in Africa. She does her job and highlights issues that she cares about. Why does she have to do any more than that? The Guardian is a newspaper not a charity.
