Eater Sundae
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22526051 Savile producer Ted Beston will face no further police action. Insufficient evidence to support a prosecution. Is this the worst of all worlds? At least if he had been charged but found not guilty there is some sort of closure. This way, whatever accusations that were made against him are still left unsaid and unchallenged.
frededwards
Serves him right for not speaking out at the time. They should "name-and-shame" a few more of the "personalities" and sycophants at the BBC who knew what was going on, but were too cowardly to speak out. Beston has the right to privately if not legally challenge the accusation.
Eater Sundae
Not sure what you mean by that. Beston has the right to privately if not legally challenge the accusation. What I meant was that because it has never been discussed in open court, there is no way for anyone to know what the accusations were. (Not that we have any right to know). As a result, some people may choose to believe the worst, even though, in the eyes of the law, he is the same as any other person who has not been charged with anything. Those "some" are usually the lowest common denominator..very dim with a pitchfork mentality. Regardless of naming or not you'll never change that mentality..it's almost genetic.
