jagsthecat
I would start with the Agencies up in Aberdeen or look at companies such as Oceaneering, Wood Group and others of their ilk.
mart
Never tried it but it sounds like long hours of hard work Agree. 21 days straight of continuous 12 hours shifts. Got to be a young man’s game surely?
tzijlstra
My dad (who is a paremedic) got offered a chance to work on the rigs for a year, two weeks on/two weeks off. He was the rigs principal paramedic and loved every second of it. I still wonder why he didn't renew as the money was at least three times what he made as a paramedic on shore and he didn't have to endure us three brothers for quite some time! I have often considered doing it, but am over-qualified now (what I mean is, it would mean giving up my current career which I like) and it isn't a job for the faint of heart, but if you do get into it, can work hard for long days and like your own company on downtime than it is an excellent job. Nagel
Agree. 21 days straight of continuous 12 hours shifts. Got to be a young man’s game surely? Is that really very hard? A lot of jobs on the rig aren't physically demanding, just you need to be there for when your own specialist part of the operation needs doing.
