Interview with Personal Trainer about to Fight for Kickboxing Title!!

Q1. You are about to fight on the AFK-Superleague , I know you have fought on this event before, how do you feel about the AFK-SL as event in general.

 

SH:

This is my 3rd time and ive always enjoyed the AFK-SL wether fighting on or as a spectator.

 

Q2. You used to be a bodybuilder, how did you find the switch over in focus when it comes to diet and training types?

 

SH: My first fight was straight out of bodybuilding at 94kg. I was too heavy and bulky and didn't have the movement or cardio to adapt to putting a good fight on. I'm now 15kg lighter and movement is a lot easier.

 

 

Q3.I understand you run PRO-FITNESS-SHEFFIELD , could you tell me about some of those programs you run?

 

SH: I mainly specialise in personal training/weight loss and transformations from general clientel up to show prep and show competitors of all categories. But we have general fitness classes and kickboxing classes which I also teach

 

Q4. Whats this Bootcamp you run all about ? How does the 28 day inch weight loss program work? I understand that you actually guarantee results?

 

The http://www.28dayinchlossprogramme.co.uk is a monthly group programme I run for people or need to loose inches and have either never exercised or been training for years and hit there sticking points. The best thing is they only need to see me for 3x 35min sessions a week for 4 weeks and there's no calorie counting diet. Q5. Fighters try all kinds of crazy ideas for weight cutting, some of them are dangerous you say?

 

SH: Why eat rubbish leading towards a fight then try water and weight cutting last minute? All that does is put unnecessary stress on the body pre-fight. I stay on weight all year round.

 

Q6. I hear that a young lady from Dave Jackson's gym took a lot of dietary advice from you to get down from 61kg to 57kg and she was strong with it too! She won in the first round on the same show!!!

 

SH: Yes I gave Sam hart some nutritional advice for her fight on your show, she listened and appreciated my help and I would like to think it helped her gain her victory.

 

Q7. What do you know about your opponent?

 

SH: I don't know a lot to be fair I fought David paddison in November my opponents trainer so I know there a tough gym but I like that. I've seen him in the ring and he is no mug, but ill be sure to be give my best as always.
