frank ryan Posted May 21, 2013 Share Posted May 21, 2013 I was at the docs this morning talking to a sweet old lass in the waiting room - the hollies is a grand victorian house and I was saying what a place it must've been - she said it used to be the home of charles stone, a steel man. anyone know about him? hillsbro Posted May 21, 2013 Share Posted May 21, 2013 Kelly's directories from the 1950s and 1960s show No 20 St Andrew's Road as the offices of "H. J. Stone Steel Co. Ltd, steel manufacturers".
