cgksheff Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 It appears you both have 'parental responsibility'. As such permission of the both of you is needed to take the children out of the country. One of you can withhold permission ... as she is doing. Even if you had the passports she could still refuse to give her consent to the holiday. Have a chat with a family solicitor (1st half hour for free) to get a feel of drafting a letter to formally request consent and laying out the points to show that withholding consent is not in the children's best interests.
