I ran in Nottingham where there were over 10000 entered for HM / M! Ah, will have to look out for the Yorkshire Marathon next year. GYR was okay. I think about 3600 runners. I was in the Orange wave and found it was pretty congested at the start, so forced to run slower for the first 1k. I fizzled a bit on the way back after the 8k mark (where it gets slightly hilly), but over all, not a bad route. Not as fast as LAD though (no hills at the start/finish and doesn't seem to be so congested), but I hear they'll be introducing waves this year at LAD...
