Thanks for the electrical advice, i found some assistance though. I'll defend myself against being called 'Holeinthead' as I see fit otherwise people just think its okay to do this on the forum, not just for myself but the many other people on here who may be belittled by such comments. It's not necessary.

Obe read through the posts, the comment was aimed at Mike 10 and I can understand why the OP was miffed by his reply !

I'm sorry for any offence caused, I usually type-up and thoughts obout a topic in notepad

and then edit out irrelevant text. I really just wanted to post a one line question

but then thought it would be a useful to give a summary of 3 & single-phase supplies, but

then I didn't edit out the lame text.
