Obelix Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 We were shown, in med school anatomy class, a tiny structure called then the "utriculus masculinus" buried in the prostate gland, Presumably there. Spot on. Of course everyone knows that men don't get uterine prostate cancer so there's no point in researching it... Except of course it's easier to do in men (apparantly) as there isn't a large and variable amount of an active sex hormone that changes through the month, at least not to the same extent.... And of course men don't make a good model for situations where that change stops happening as I'm reliably told it does after about three decades.... Parvo Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 just looked on a random site advertising for medical research volunteers..... 13 were for males only 9 were for male/female 1 was for female only they want to sell these drugs for men and women to take but they are still not being uniformly tested on an accurate cross section of people( namely women) it would seem....well on this site at this time anyway Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
