Banning Lads Magazines

Yes, you are being Frank.

I've talked about unwanted male attention in the context of other posts. You can make of it what you will - FRANK.

Sorry if I've focused on you too much, it just stands out like a sore thumb, you're insecurity, that is...

It reminds me of an old Ricky Gervais sketch... but that's another story..

One thing I've noticed on this thread, is that although you are outspoken in relation to women getting unwanted attention, at every opportunity you drop in a mention of how men find you attractive...

I feel we have a feminist, who deep down, likes to receive attention, but would never admit it.

Sorry I'm just being frank...

I expect this is the only way you are ever going to get any attention unless you pay for it by the half hour.

Yes, strange how out of 83 posts I have made on this thread, the last few have been about unwanted male attention and harassment yet you seem to think I have dropped in at every opportunity how men supposedly find me attractive.

I really don't care what it reminds you of.

Give me a clue as to which Gervais sketch, I bet it's funny I've watched all of his stuff. :hihi:

It just seems odd a feminist outraged by the way some men judge women by the way they look, but then you mention your looks... and how you have had to fight them off.

Its a bit off topic really, and not really relevant. I'm a bit of a stickler for detail, that's all. I notice things... A man masturbating while looking through your window... attention you received while a bar maid... young men old enough to be your sons, chatting you up... You see where I'm coming from?

Odd behaviour from a femist I think... Anyway, back on topic...

Why is it odd behaviour from a feminist to highlight cases of harassment? I would have thought it was totally appropriate. Have you looked at the Everyday Sexism site that Jessica linked to? I haven't once mentioned my looks, not once.

How tolerant. I hope the threats originating from the UK are being investigated without the hindrance of "cultural sensitivities" as making death threats is a serious crime.

Its a little bit suspicious that the first thing they did was to claim asylum so they can stay in the UK. Anyway. Im going off subject.

You can download & read lads mags on phones & ipads etc so cant see the point in banning the printed version.

Teenage boys can get porn easily off the internet anyway. When i was a kid we had to find it in the bushes or local parks. They dont know how lucky they are.

The aim of the campaign isn't to ban them but to stop them being stocked in supermarkets and WHSmiths.

When I was 19 I was in a club with my friend, talking. A man who was probably 50+ came over and started chatting us up. I asked him, politely, to leave us alone. He carried on. I asked him rather less politely to leave us alone and he responded by shouting in my face that I was an ugly lesbian who should kill herself.

At 19 I was furious about it. Now ten plus years later I'm accustomed to it, and I know a lot more about why it happens, and have pretty much nothing but contempt for people who engage it in in any form.

I think your making this up.
