El Cid
Hi I cannot get why they stop police car chases. They are obviously dangerous, but when the police call off a chase, because its too dangerous. That is allowing the person to do it again, putting people in danger once again, and again. If they catch the culprit, they can be locked up for years, it must be dangerous driving; doesnt that carry up to 10 years in jail?
Xt500
Its very rare to call off a chase too much ego involved but if they did there must be good reason for it.From what ive seen it doesnt happen enough in most cases the vehicle isnt driving dangerously until the police get involved. maybe you would like to keep chasing them until they hit a member of your family after all many of them cant drive, seems they cant even get their cars out of the car parks http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/8303031/Police-crash-cars-hundreds-of-times-in-their-own-car-parks.html . El Cid
maybe you would like to keep chasing them . But if they let them go, they will just keep driving illegally and have to go thu it all again, causing more danger.

geared
Just arm the helicopters, no need to chase them around then.

monkey104
It should be less of a problem soon with all the cut backs. Just think, less officers to drive the vehicles thereby saving money
adamhere
Same thing down in Oz. Once the chase hits a certain speed, it is called off...
