iansheff Posted June 2, 2013 Share Posted June 2, 2013 NO NO NO NO!!!! Earth is ****ALWAYS**** green/green/yellow. Red (old) or Brown (new) are live Black (old) or Blue (new) is neutral. Wander over to the adverts section and get an electrician in. Black is also used as a switch wire, a competent electrician should have marked it with red tape when they wired it to show that it is not a neutral.
