You need to register once on a Friday before 6pm. Once you have, print off your barcode and just turn up before 9am on the Saturday. Run, then you get your barcode scanned after and results sometime in the afternoon/evening. You only need to register once then you can run at any parkrun across the country.

Simple really

Can I hijack this thread to promote a charity run at Don Valley Stadium on 29th June 2013 to raise money for Neurocare (brain injury equipment for Sheffield hospitals)?

There's a 5km run and a 1 mile fun run. For more information visit http://dingdash.weebly.com/

Thanks and get entering!

PS. If the Parkrun people want to promote the run more heavily please go ahead or get in touch!

I used to run at Hallam parkrun at Endcliffe Park. At the time I went there were about 200 runners. I believe it has now grown to around 450. When Graves parkrun started I went there instead and like it so much more that I have never been back to Endcliffe. It attracts about 100 runners, which is a much more manageable number. Whenever I have volunteered as a Marshall, I have never come across any opposition or annoyance from other park users:- in fact, many people have shown a lot of interest and some have later come along to join in. When I am running I find that the field of runners tends to spread out, meaning that there is always room for anyone coming the other way to get past. I have always found other park users happy to exchange a "good morning" or to encourage runners along.

Parkrun at Graves is a great opportunity for runners of all abilities to take part in a timed event in a friendly, supportive and inclusive atmosphere. We have all ages, from 6 year olds running with their parents to bus pass holders! I can't recommend it highly enough!

I'm wanting to do the Parkrun at Concord, however I'd also like my dog Rufus to run as well.

Does the dog need to register? he doesn't have an email address and as he is young is pretty fit, so will he need to visit the vet to have a medical prior to taking part?
