BEDROCK
Having taken huge interest in the goings on in the Enfield Poltergeist in the late 70's. Quite a few people who were involved were members of the Society for Psychical Research. Maurice Grosse, Guy Lyon Playfair and Mary Rose Barrington were involved at Enfield and am wondering if they are a local organisation. Would like to work for them as it sounds fascinating. RootsBooster
In a case where the children admitted to faking events, why would you give it any further consideration?
Dronfieldman
The evidence suggests that for some length of time, the phenomena were genuine but that, later, the children hoaxed some incidents because of diminishing genuine phenomena. ---------- Post added 31-01-2015 at 13:53 ---------- Bedrock: The SPR seems to be mainly interested in having academically qualified people in its membership. As an alternative, you may wish to consider joining ASSAP (see http://www.assap.ac.uk), which encourages the ordinary man in the street, whether qualified or not, to participate in research and investigations. You may possibly also be interested in the meetings of Chesterfield Psychic Study Group (see http://www.cpsg.co.uk).
