5iron2
Hi, I would like to go away camping and fishing for a few days. I am looking for a location where I can pitch a tent close to the fishing. Up to about 2 hours drive from Sheffield. With some basic facilities available - eg shower & toilets. River or still water lake. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. denlin
I meant the camping not the fishing, sorry - we considered putting our caravan on there until we found out the price
5iron2
I meant the camping not the fishing, sorry - we considered putting our caravan on there until we found out the price oh right - it was £10 pn for a small tent. I thought it was ok - except rather noisy in the morning from the traffic on the road. ---------- Post added 22-06-2013 at 20:52 ---------- does anybody know of any other camp sites next to the Trent? denlin
Walts farm at Torksey lock, bit basic but very cheap and has easy access to trent and it's own pond. No showers but power station will let you use their facilities for small charge and its immediaely behind the White Swan pub
