Kidorry
How is it that we as grown ups need 2 or 3 meals a day and a grown dog only needs 1.If we only had one large meal a day we would be plagued with indigestion.
Rupert_Baehr
Do you think that if you ate some cat poop occasionally it would stop the indigestion?
melthebell
our dog seems to need 400 meals a day, and 6 poops Oo
willman
I don't think either is factually correct. My dogs are fed 3 times per day, this restricts chances of bloat and other smellier ailments. I have heard and seen of people who only eat one meal per day as they can't afford to eat more.
vwkittie
I feed our dog twice a day, same as Willman it helps avoid bloat which can be very dangerous to dogs. Dogs digestive systems are very different to ours, much shorter, I don't think you can compare the two really.
geared
I've heard it's not a good idea to feed larger dogs only once a day as well. Perhaps the op needs to change the feeding patterns?

Rupert_Baehr
They can eat things which would kill us - but then again, there are things which we eat which would injure or kill them.
MrSmith
I don`t have a dog now but was just curious if their digestive system related to ours in any way. The big difference is that there stomach acid is more acidic, probably helps them digest bones and kills bacteria that is associated with rotting meat. Jeffrey Shaw
They can eat things which would kill us - but then again, there are things which we eat which would injure or kill them. In Korea, of course, they're on the menu.
