Bank holiday to be named 'Thatcher Day'??

Recommended Posts

Perhaps motivated by envy of the fact that the early May bank holidays are traditionally associated with workers' day across many countries, the Conservative MP Peter Bone and about 40 other backbench Tories want the bank holiday in late August to be re-named 'Margaret Thatcher Day'.

How should it be celebrated I wonder?

Amongst Bone's other policies that would make up his alternative Queen's Speech (banning the burqa in public, privatising the BBC, and reintroducing the death penalty)

Swivel eyed loon nuttery, or sensible suggestions that meet the needs of the country?
