JOJO SMITH

In the last 13 years JoJo has gone from open spot to late night TV personality, from global fame on the Internet to international comedy performer, not bad going for someone who until then had never stood on a stage in her life.

International performances include two sold out tours of South Africa, Shanghai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and both the Sydney and Melbourne comedy festivals. Her strong views had her proclaimed a feminist icon in Cape Town, and quite frankly the laid back Aussies wondered what had hit them. Safe to say she made quite an impact!

A diagnosis of Repetative Strain Injury combined with an interview with the late, great Bill Hicks, gave JoJo the impetus she needed to take the plunge into the world of stand-up comedy, and she hasn't looked back since.

"Raunchy comedienne, very, very, funny" London Evening Standard

"It's worth seeking out Funny Business on ITV in the early hours of Sunday morning. JoJo Smith pulls off the difficult task of analysing comedy while being funny at the same time" Martin Kelner, Daily Mail

"A manic force, leading where male stand-ups fear to tread" Sydney Morning Herald

JOE ROWNTREE

Joe Rowntree is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and presenter. He graduated from Goldsmiths College in 2003 with a BSc Hons in Psychology. His television career started back in 2001 writing put-downs for Anne Robinson on "The Weakest Link". He has hosted 2 UK tours of "Brainiac Live" which culminated at the Hammersmith Apollo after appearing in all six series of the award-winning hit Sky 1 show "Brainiac: Science Abuse" and recently recorded "Dave's One Night Stand" (Dave), which he was a huge hit on!

Joe has also been a hit overseas in Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain (with the Comedy Store) and throughout Europe and America. He has supported Rhod Gilbert and Stephen K Amos in theatres on their national tours and recently performed for a month in Mary Tobin’s Best of Fest package show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival 2012!

KAI HUMPHRIES

'Humphries is a lovely Geordie comic and this set wasn’t just funny, it was like being cuddled for an hour, bathed in his sunny friendliness and impossible likeability that makes his rude humour feel mischievous and thoroughly inoffensive ... unpretentious and charming … hilarious!’ **** (ThreeWeeks).

‘Chatty and easy-going … side-splittingly funny’ (Fest). ‘Extremely funny … catch an emerging superstar early’ **** (One4Review.wordpress.com). ‘Endearing and funny’ (Evening News). Catch Kai on Comedy Central’s Comedy Store and on tour with Daniel Sloss. ‘Happy, original and surreal … caustic, rapid-fire wit … an immensely gifted stand-up’ (Skinny).

PHIL BUTLER

As soon as Phil joined the UK comedy circuit, he found himself closing the show at all the major comedy clubs such as Jongleurs, Highlight, The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, The Banana Comedy Club, Bearcat, Baby Blue, Hyena Comedy Café, Last Laugh, but to name a few. Phil has also had the great honour of performing for our British troops in Iraq, Kosovo, Bosnia, Croatia and several times in Afghanistan. Phil was amongst the first comedians to perform to the troops on the front line, and even received a medal for his time there.

Dipping his toe into an acting career he had a cameo role in BBCs 'Hotel Babylon' and a TV advert for the AA. He is currently producing and hosting an internet radio show called 'The Green Room' which is recorded backstage on the comedy circuit with interviews and clips of the show. Past interviews have included; Jimmy Carr, Jim Jefferies, Milton Jones, Rufus Hound and Lee Mack. It's a free podcast available at http://www.thegreenroompodcast.com, http://www.philbutler.co.uk and iTunes. Also a star of the major BBC documentary 'A Funny Business' - 2006
