carosio
I'm in the process of removing the front pipe (1.9TDI) but am wondering how to tackle the 3 manifold nuts without breakage, 2 are visible but the third is hidden. they are 13mm but 1/2 AF is a better fit, however I've attempted as far as I dare with a good ring spanner but they're very tight, with the engine warm but not as hot as it can be (it's off road). Any tips would be welcome.
GRUSS
Can you get in with a wire brush? Try and clean the threads as much as you can and give it a good soaking with WD-40. I also like to use loctite freeze and release spray....

I also like to use loctite freeze and release spray.... The exposed threads look quite clean. The freezer is interesting, I wonder if standard freezer spray is as good?
