lectrospin
+1 to that. The M62 is awful ATM because of the roadworks due to the Managed Motorways work. A66 had half the dual carriageway coned off (for no apparent reason as usual) when i went last week so pray you don't get stuck behind anything slow. lectrolove
Penrith nice place too. It's ok but has a bit of a wild frontier town atmosphere to my mind A couple of interesting shops though and the castle is worth a look. Other towns nearby are nicer, notably Appleby, but the Eden Valley on the whole is one of my favourite parts of the country, it nestles between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales and is better than either in my opinion. megalithic
If i do make it i'll just be parking in Penrith then hiking to here, and back the next day. I'm not bothered about facilities, i have a trowel.
