Michael_W
Happy days mel, we used to bathe with kids from Dore and Totley. I don't remember too many from Dore and Totley those buses that stopped at Millhouses terminus brought hundreds in every day from all over Sheffield. LeMaquis
and was held in place by atmospheric conditions,we sweltered at work and the novelty soon wore off, in the end we were all glad when it started raining. Apart from 2006 cant remember a summer any thing like it. 1995 saw a drought in Yorkshire with some reservoirs running dry. Temperatures were up to 20C in early May and stayed that way for months. Mark Thomas did a ****-take on telly about Ethiopia donating water to us. ---------- Post added 06-07-2013 at 23:50 ---------- it was Elvis Costello's debut record on vinyl..... ....which didn't come out till 77. girocasher
I also remember in that year I bought one of the first plastic mountin bikes, the first time I went out for a ride on it I was thinking what a lovely day it was until I felt I was slowly sinking, as I looked down my bike was slowly melting in the 21c sun and to top it off littlewoods would not give me a refund!
