I M F state UK economy to grow by 2%

Do you understand the difference between a business and a service, as in the National Health Service?

Yes, I wonder if you understand the difference between solvency and insolvency? Any lunatic can spend money.

Can you justify the expenditure on conveying drunks to crown A&E facilities? Or stapling fat peoples stomachs to stop them eating? or treating lifestyle induced diabetes or smoking related disease.?

Do you think that if we stopped having to waste money like this we could not divert funds into curing Cancer once and for all, or Meningitis, or making our hospitals clean, paying our nurses, first responders and doctors what are worth, having a Consultant available 24/7?

For once, answer the question, and try not to let your socialist blather interfere with a logical thought process.

PS all the above could be done for a hell of a lot less than we are spending now.

But the Green's alternative hasn't been tried. Perhaps getting rid of all the cars, power stations, aeroplanes, ships and industry and planting broccoli in the Peace Gardens is just the answer to the world's problems.

You could be right, but Broccoli?

Or maybe we underfund the NHS or expect too much of it? We're not in the top ten of our rates of health care spending, but we expect a top ten service.

Oh look the left wing brigade rides to Erebus's defence. :D

You are aware that as a service or a charity aiming to make a small operating profit each year, to be ploughed back into providing your service is both prudent[1], and indeed to be encouraged?

[1] That's prudence without the Brownian capitalisation.

How much extra tax would you like to pay in order to provide extra funding to the NHS?

Do we currently pay less tax than the top ten countries? If not maybe we can either re-priotise our spending or just accept that we cannot afford a top ten standard healthcare.

Maybe you should read what they have to say.

locally focused

Support for small businesses

Separation of retail and investment banking

low carbon industry

Living wage

Fair use of resources

Making polluters pay

What's your problem? And before say it will cost too much consider how much what we have now costs us.

Compared to the rest of Europe yes we are.

The figures from the IMF are reliable. Hard headed international investors who are pouring money into the stock market and London property are not stupid. They know that as long as we have sensible sustainable economic policies this country is the place to be.

Wake up to what? What is your alternative? Socialism? What model? All have failed.

Neoliberal it may be, it has provided more people in work than ever in history, freedom of expression, a welfare system that is failing because of its generosity, but is recoverable.

We are the most blessed generation in history. Be Thankful.

We are not the most blessed generation. Unless of course you speak as one of the boomers then you most certainly are. But then you're part of the problem.

Yes I know it's really frightening isn't it to think that some of you green party idiots actually believe this rubbish and think it is put out as serious policy. Perhaps some of you guys are so divorsed from reality that you don't realise it is all a joke. Fortunately the electorate by and large aren't quite so gullible which is why the greens will get 7 votes again at the next election and let the real people get on with running the economy.

I would rather trust Gordon Brown with our economy than the greens. He only crashed the economy by 7.3%. You guys would have the country on its knees within 2 weeks.

What's rubbish about it? Let's discuss. I don't expect you to agree but I want to fully understand the basis for your opposition.
