Justice Secretary Chris Grayling has asked the Serious Fraud Office to investigate G4S for overcharging for tagging criminals in England and Wales.

MPs heard that the overcharging by G4S and rival Serco ran to tens of millions of pounds.

Mr Grayling said the firms charged the government for tagging people who were not actually being monitored.

The bills included tags for people in prison or out of the country, and a small number who had died.

So who do you want to give the contract to, then?

How many firms are prepared to bid for it?

SHoud the bids be opened to foreign firms?

(Perhps Joe Arpaio should get the job ...:hihi:)

That is where the problem lies to be honest.

There is no-one else, the competition watchdog really should have noticed that when Group 4 and Securicor merged there would be no other large security firms in the UK to challenge them for business.

Unfortunately the big guys swallow up all the small guys until there is no competition, then they can get away with allsorts.

According to Chris Grayling G4S have embezzled £1billion of your and my money. After the Olympics, the unlawful killing of a man being deported should this company still be allowed to tender for government contracts?

Should our local soccer clubs employ them?
