G4S under investigation again

Recommended Posts

According to Chris Grayling G4S have embezzled £1billion of your and my money. After the Olympics, the unlawful killing of a man being deported should this company still be allowed to tender for government contracts?

Should our local soccer clubs employ them?

But nothing but a bit of posturing will be done as usual, and it will be quietly forgotten...

They will probably end up running Royal Mail.

No matter how many scandals this company is involved in they always seem to be the "go to" firm when it comes to giving out millions in public funds. I wonder how many MPs have links with them.

It's probably not that many. They are a very useful organisation to blame that keeps going - globally. The east India company of our time?

There a re plenty of small to medium sized security companies who could provide these services locally. Make them locally accountable.

Good idea.

The bigger these companies get the more impregnable they become - too big to fail...

They are certainly big, due to government contracts, so was A4E maybe we are seeing a change in government acceptance of dishonesty and poor standards.

But surely, small to medium size companies are - by your own definition - 'less than impregnable'?

How are you going to 'make' them accept your terms?

If they turn out not to be 'up to the job' (and you've already argued that they are 'less than impregnable' what are you going to do (because it will be up to you to do it) to make sure that the job is done properly?

They are not going to accept any terms but their own. There is nothing I or anyone else can do about it. Corporations now run the world.
