brammers
Just bought trailer for my small person so I can take my 3 boys out on their bikes and wondered if anyone could suggest easy rides round Sheffield and surrounding areas? Thanks
JennyB
The trail from bakewell through monsaldale is wonderful, the kids will love it as it involves going through tunnels! It's nicely flat as well so should be good with the trailer. Also, not sure where in sheffield you are but much of the trans pennine trail is suitable, worsborough (barnsley) through to old moor rsbp nature reserve is a nice flat ride too. A couple of roads to cross but otherwise traffic free.
hyper
canal from the wharf or the riverside walk from the wicker in the centre of sheffield to meadowhall and beyond via tinsley to rotherham. There's a park at meadowhall for them to run around if they need a break There are a few roads to cross on the riverside walk, but should be ok with a bit of care. Or start Hunters bar and ride through Endcliffe Park, Bingham Park and up to Forge Dam for the playground and an icecream. Or from Meadowhall up the old rail track to Ecclesfield and return. There's a park in Ecclesfield or Morrisons for food.
