Oldest part of Sheffield still visible?

Recommended Posts

Very interesting, those photos of petrified tree stumps. And that is what they appear to be, tree stumps, as if the trees had been felled. I've visited the famous site in Arizona and the most striking difference between that and the Sheffield site is that there are quite a few complete 'logs' with jagged ends, as if the trees had fallen naturally. It's a shame that the Sheffield site can't be seen by an interested public.
