JACK HEWITT Posted July 23, 2013 Share Posted July 23, 2013 I worked at William Parkin & co on Sylvester st in the packing dept in the early 60s also had my first experience of working class women from the paint dipping shop upstairs they painted certain parts of my body I wont disclose on here I stayed there for around 2yrs and cant remember a single name of anyone I worked with only Harry Parkin the son of William. Elaine223 Posted June 25, 2018 Share Posted June 25, 2018 Both my parents 'Frank and Mavis Deakin' worked at William Parkin Crown Steel Works Machine Knives & Agricultural, Dad was a Maintenance Fitter/Engineer and mum worked in the Packing Dept and Office.
